Re-purposed Jewellery Box

A friend gave me this cool box that had a magnetic fastening so I just had to re-purpose it.
My earrings were also very messy and it was hard to find a matching pair. This box just might solve the problem.

The first challenge was finding something to make the foam slots that hold the jewellery. We checked out a few options at art and craft shops but no luck. Then tried the hardware store and found foam in a long thin round tube. It was supposed to be used for stopping draughts but not any more!

I covered it in fabric and glued it down making strips I could side my rings and earrings into.

Then the fun begins with my Graphic 45 papers covering the box inside and outside.

This is my finished jewellery box. I love it. Useful and beautiful.

Just have to clean my jewellery and put it in my new jewellery box.

Making cute fabric banners for our market stall. We were asked so many times if our decorative display banners were for sale we thought we better make some to sell.
Varying prices depending on how long they are, $2.50 per piece. The 7 piece banners are approx 1.4 metres long and are $17:50. The 5 piece banners are approx 1 metre long and are $12:50

Cake Boxes

Making Cake Boxes

Ideal for a birthday party. Cake and treat bag in one. cakes are $40 each and I have only made one of each. With sweets inside but they can easily be opened and you can put what you like in them.
They are approx 20cm wide across cake.

This also make a great birthday party activity for children 7 and older. $50 as a party activity. We come to you and provide all the materials needed.

We've Gone to the Market!

It's been a few months since we blogged because we have been busy at the Market Fairs selling our crafty products. It has been great fun making and selling but it has made us very busy. Hope to have more time in 2015 to share our crafty endeavours.
