Birthday Cake Card

Those who know me know I do like little lights. Xmas lights are way to nice to have only once a year. I found these little battery operated tea light candles and loved them so much I wanted to make something with them. They reminded me of birthday cakes so the exploding box birthday box was made.

This box was made from one sheet of card stock and scraps  of paper. The flowers cut out with a punch and shaped with a dot of pearl in the centre.The leaves were scraps from an old kit.

I did have to cut a hole in the bottom of the box so you can turn the candle on and off. After making a few of these boxes now I recommend you use the extra sticky tape on the candle to attach to base and for paper around candle.

Vintage Cards

Today I have used some vintage paper to make a set of cards. With a different background you can make the card look quite different.

Cards From Scraps

I like to use everything including the packaging if possible. These cards were made from the basic Grey packaging. I liked the small squares and rectangles that showed what was in the paper set so used them in some cards.

Recycle

Shaker Cards.

I love to make shaker cards and I love to recycle. With these shaker cards I have recycled some packaging. The flower card was made from a brad packaging.

 

The base card was sprayed with Perfect Pearls and the grass cut out on the cricut

This card was made with other packaging. Not sure what came in it but as usual it was saved because it  might be useful .

Ladies Dairy Mini Album

I used the Ladies Dairy 8x8" Paper set. It uses one of each sheet so with the booklet of paper you can make two mini albums. One for yourself and one for a friend. The black rectangles are mats for photos

Ladies Dairy Mini Album

 I made a box for a mini album from an old book. (I did read it first.) The pages were cut out and then I covered it with tissue paper with some pearlex powder. I then fussy cut out the Ladies dairy.

 On the inside I made a box to put the mini album in and adhered it to the back page. In the box base I added magnets to help hold the book closed with the metal corners on the front of the book for the magnets
